Azman Hashim UMS Gallery, an iconic landmark on the campus of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), began construction on October 6, 2017 and will be completed by the end of 2020.

This construction project was fully sponsored by Yayasan Azman Hashim which amounted to RM15 million and covered an area of 27,811 square feet in building size. The location of Galeri Azman Hashim UMS was built next to Teluk Likas which is known for the beautiful panoramic views of Kota Kinabalu.

The features of the round design structure have been inspired by Sabah's traditional musical instrument "Gong" has created a positive perspective as well as the artistic value of Borneo itself. Apart from that, Galeri Azman Hashim UMS also has space features such as closed and open exhibitions and corridors. There are also other rooms available in addition to exhibition space such as seminar room, mini auditorium, digital room and conservatory on the top floor of the gallery.
